Clonlara GAA Club Notes for Saturday 6 April...

Our Seniors head to Feakle for R3 of the Clare Cup at 12noon today; please come out and support the team if you can.

Best of luck to our Junior Bs who get their hurling year started this afternoon at 3pm in Clonlara against Cratloe...even Storm Kathleen can't stop our Seniors and Junior Bs. Your support would be appreciated; best of luck to manager Tom Walsh and his team.

Tomorrow Sunday 7 April our Junior As host a neighbourhood derby when they welcome Parteen-Meelick to Clonlara for a 1pm start. This match also serves as the annual Dermot Sheridan Memorial event so there will be a good crowd. Please come out and support the team if you can.

Clon hurlers have been busy with their county teams...congratulations to Cillian McGrath and the Clare Minors on their win on Thursday and to Diarmuid Stritch and Michael Collins and the Clare U20s who defeated Limerick in their opener in Sixmilebridge. Michael Collins contributed more than his share to the score board which was a joy to see.

The Celtic Challenge match between Clare and Limerick which was scheduled for 12noon today in Clonlara has been postponed due to the weather. We'll have to wait a bit to see our own Darragh Dillon and Ciaran Howard in action, supported by coaches Stephen Cullen, Damien Power and Seimi Gully.

Ian Galvin and John Conlon are in the spotlight tonight in Thurles at 7:15pm in the Allianz League final. Best of luck to John, Ian and all the Clare team this evening; it feels like the start of a fantastic year for the Banner at all levels.

Our U11s kick off their GoGames for the year on Sunday at 1:30pm against Cratloe, and we hope they enjoy every minute of it.

Several of our adult players will take part in the Michael Hynes Memorial Tournament tomorrow afternoon (7/4/24) starting at 4pm in Whitegate. Donations to Limerick Suicide Watch can be made here https://www.idonate.ie/fundraiser/LimerickSuicideWatchWhitegateGAA

Don't forget your chance to enter the Clonlara GAA Megadraw here: https://clonlaragaa.com/products/17909/purchases/new This is a great chance to support the ongoing work of the club and have your name in for all the draws over a 10 month period. Spaces are going fast as the draw is limited to 250 participants so get yours organised asap.

By now those of you who were lucky enough to have your names drawn for purchase access to the first round of the Munster SHC have received your messages from the club. Please remember to make your purchases by MONDAY 8 APRIL. We appreciate your patience with the ticketing process, which is a big one to manage. Fair play to club secretary Therese McMahon, registrar Elaine de Courcy and the club executive committee for their dedication and effort in these matters. While it might seem straightforward, the ticketing process takes a good deal of time and consideration in order to provide the fairest and best outcome possible for our members.
